Your art can be in a beautiful award-winning gallery where you can exhibit the work you want, for as long as you want.

You can participate at a level that works for you, as a member of the gallery (working or non-working), or you can rent space small enough for a single piece, or you can enter our annual juried competitions.

Our gallery is designed to get your work in front of a large audience, in the most effective, permanent and flexible way.

The gallery is run by the members and is designed to display our artwork under ideal conditions. The gallery gives the artist exhibition experience and allows for direct feedback from the public about their work. The shows rotate about every two months, so there are always opportunities for new artists to join in on a regular basis.

Options for getting your art into the gallery...

Become a Member

Costs range from $240 to $475 a month (depending on the size of the space you want and whether you work the gallery), work requirements vary between 0 and 2 days per month, and the commission on sales range from 20% to 30%. Working extra shifts can reduce your rent, and participating on committees can reduce your commission. There is a 4 month (2 show) commitment and no deposit. You can leave anytime after 4 months with a 2 month (one show) notice. Admission is decided by a vote of the gallery’s show committee.

Only members can become featured artists, participate on committees, have their business cards, postcards, and brochures featured prominently, are guaranteed rack space for greeting cards they sell, and receive gallery sales reports. They are also allowed one or two bins of prints in their space (based on space size), and are featured on our website, with a link back to their own personal websites. Members are also guaranteed to have wall space in every show.

Juried Shows

Twice a year we have juried shows.

In March we have our annual “Showin’ on the River” Juried Photography Show”. In July we have our annual “Showin’ on the River” Juried Painting Show”.

The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries, and you may make up to 3 additional entries for $10 each (up to a total of 6 pieces for $65). There is no guarantee that any of your pieces will be selected for a show.

We start accepting entries into these shows about 3 months before they start and the deadline for entry is a little over a month before the show opens.

3 Dimensional Artists and Trunk Shows

We primarily show 2 dimensional work that hangs on a wall, but we also show a small selection of 3D work such as jewelry, sculptures, functional art (lamps and furniture), and woodwork. Our rent is $60 per month, and the commission is 30% (our space for these items is very limited). Lance and Jerrie determine what 3 dimensional art gets shown in the gallery.

We occasionally do trunk shows at our monthly Artwalks for a small fee and commission. If you are interest in doing that, contact Jerrie Morago for details.

E-mail the gallery for more information or to request space in our next show.

Performing Artists

We feature live music at all of our receptions. We have a tip jar for the musicians at the gallery (which are very well attended), we also give the musicians all the tips from our beverage bar (also well attended). Contact the gallery if you’d like to perform at one of our receptions. We also are open to live music at our Artwalks that occur without receptions, but those have much lower attendance.

E-mail the gallery for more information or to request to perform at a future gallery event.
